With the dental industry burgening with different products how can you find which one will work best for your mouth? I hope to help you make the correct decision for you.
I like to keep things simple. With so many companies pushing dental products it can be a real minefield reading through the literature. My final verdict on a product is based u
pon whether it can do the job it says it can. Only products that I believe in make it onto this website. To find out more about that product and why I recommend it click on the links.
The manual toothbrush I recommend is the Sensodyne Search 3.5. This is a great toothbrush and the only toothbrush I have ever recommended ever.
The electric toothbrushes come down to two choices, the Oral B Triumph and the Philips Sonicare Flexcare. I believe that these two products can deliver some amazing results in a particularly short time. They do represent a solid investment in your teeth.
You may be familiar with the roll of floss in the dispenser but please remove that image from your head. Although it is functional it is so fiddly to use especially when floss holders such as the oral B Hummingbird are available. Floss holder will make flossing considerably easier.
Now here is the suprise. I am going to recommend a mouthwash which is not chlorhexidine aka chlorhex aka corsodyl. Chlorhexidine use can conceal infections and its use would be preferable under the guidance of a dentist. My recommendation is Colgates alcohol free mouthwash called Fluorogard.
Finally Tepe brushes. These little brushes clean spaces between teeth. Available in a number of different sizes these brushes represent an alternative to flossing where there the gums fail to contact against the teeth well.
The dental products I recommend may be different to the ones you may be using. I have spent many years looking at alternatives and these products stand head and shoulders above the rest.
